Hopefully this isn't normal function! UPDATE: TMobile sent me a new watch, and it had the same issue. Their tech support (always friendly) said they're hearing from Samsung that the issue is the battery overheating when the LTE is activated and that a software update is on the way. Of course, she said there's no way to determine when the update
Solution 1: Keep your Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 software up to date. For LTE or 3G watches, turn off Mobile networks. Take note that with Bluetooth off your watch will disconnect from your phone. Steps To Disable Samsung Health Metrics on Galaxy Watch 4. Step 1: Launch the “Samsung Health” on your Watch 4. Step 2: Turn OFF “Automatic Heart Rate Monitoring” by accessing the Heart Rate tab. Step 3: Next, disable the “REM Sleep Recording” feature by accessing the Sleep tab. Step 4: After that, also disable the “Snore

It's getting very hot and eventually shut down. In stand alone mode with LTE/4g/3G it drains battery fast and get very hot. No burn marks, but the skin felt quite warm and sore after wearing it. Eventually the warning pop ups on screen that it needs to shut down to cool itself. Only happens with LTE connection in stand alone mode.

Go in the following order: Settings On Your Phone. 1) Settings> Advanced Features> Call And Text On Other Devices - Enable. Settings On Your Watch. 1) Settings> Connections> Mobile Networks> Select Auto (Always On can be selected but Auto works fine and is better for battery life). Go To The Wearable App On Your Phone.

Before today I have only been using the wifi/bluetooth on the watch for connection with my phone. Battery lasts easily a day and a half and never once had the overheating issue.

I picked up my watch from o2, took out the data deal set it all up, when I leave my phone at home and a call comes through I answer talk for a few seconds then get a overheating message it shuts my call of and puts flight mode on, does exactly the same if I try to make a outgoing call, I'm at a tot

Watch 6 Classic overheating. I have used my apple watch lte versions for years and this has never happened to me, but now I have the 6 classic with lte and if I go for a walk, while leaving my s23 ultra at home and listening to YouTube music over the lte connection, while recording a workout, after a couple of minutes the watch shuts everything
Watch 4 Costantly Cooling. LTE. I just got my Galaxy Watch 4 with LTE on Verizon. I decided to take it for it's first run around the track. I live just outside NYC about a half mile outside so service is always good. I had Spotify going and was using the health app. I made it 1/2 a lap and it went into cooling mode.
